Hi,

I wish to raise some wild waterfowl. I am thinking of hatching out wild duck eggs. Do these wild ducks like wood ducks - both regular and silver, mandarins, ring teals, etc have the same amount of incubating days?

Also, is it okay to incubate these with some silkie hens?

Any help regarding this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hey buddy.. I was doing a research on hatching eggs recently and I think I can share with you whatever I learned.

Duck eggs take 28-30 days to hatch, except for Muscovy eggs, which take 35 days.

Silkies often take breaks in laying to go broody and try to hatch eggs! They are typically good sitters, so will incubate fertile eggs happily.
