I have 6- 4week old chicks. I would like to train them to come back into their coop after free ranging out in our backyard. Could anyone suggest me a better way? |

You can try keeping them in their coop for few days. So they will know that's their home. Then they should be fine and go back in at night. |

At first, we did have to track the chicks all around the yard , but then trained them with sweet corn, bread and the Chick-chick sound so now they come running. They will return themselves in the coop at sunset, if we run late.Try out this, it works great for mine |

Many thanks, Steve and Duckbuddy. Your suggestion really helped me. Now my chicks started coming back to their coops. Great!

Good to see that they are returning :) .Always keep their food and water inside the coops, it does a nice job of encouraging the chickens to return to their house. |
